On Saturday 13th January 1979, Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited (MROC) introduced the “SevernLink†Market Analysis Project (MAP) scheme in the Worcester, Bromsgrove and Malvern areas.

- A new network of local Malvern area services are introduced. Service 408, Service 409 and Service 410 are withdrawn and replaced in part by new Service M1, Service M2 and Service M3, running over new routes.
